Deleting your account and data
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Farfouille account (developer: Farfouille) and its associated data, in line with Google Play requirements and the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
Delete your entire account
Two options are available:
- From the app: open Farfouille → Profile tab → Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate after confirmation.
- By email: if you can no longer access the app, email contact@farfouille.app from your account's email address, with the subject "Account deletion". Requests are handled within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your account identifier, email address and name;
- your favorites synced to our servers;
- your event contributions (deleted or anonymized);
- session tokens linked to your account.
Data that is retained
Some data may be retained temporarily for technical or legal reasons:
- Crash reports (Sentry, anonymized): up to 90 days;
- Technical logs: up to 12 months;
- data required by a legal obligation or for abuse prevention, where applicable.
Favorites and preferences stored locally on your device are removed when you uninstall the app.
Delete part of your data without closing your account
Without deleting your account, you can at any time:
- Delete all your data: open Farfouille → Profile tab → Settings → Data section → Delete my data. This erases your favorites (on the device and synced) and local data, while keeping your account;
- remove a single favorite (tap the heart on an event);
- delete an event contribution you submitted, from "My contributions";
- turn off location access in your device settings.
